A member of the Banda de Gaitas Terra de Melide (from Galice) plays the pipe as she parades during the Lorient InterCeltic Festival in Lorient, Brittany, yesterday. Originally held in Brest, the festival now takes place in Lorient and remains the key event for Celtic musicians and artists. Every year, 4,500 artists and bands from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, the Isle of Man, Cornwall, Cornouailles, Asturias, Galicia and Brittany come to Lorient to take part in the festival that runs this year through August 1-10.
