DDR registers 7200 piece of arms in South Darfur

KHARTOUM: Disarmament Demobilization and Reintegration commission (DDR) in South Darfur has completed counting and registering 7200 piece of light arms possessed by citizens in various localities in south Darfur state. 
 
DDR commissioner Mohi Al Deen Idris said that they will continue counting and registering all kind of weapons possessed illegally by people in localities. He said the operation is planned to be over by the year end. 
 
The DDR operation is accepted by citizens because it has made positive results on determining violations committed by partiers possessing illegal arms. 
 
Moreover Idris asserted that the operation is conducted in cooperative spirit with native administration and the people themselves. (QNA)
