Tokyo stocks close mixed

TOKYO: Tokyo stocks were mixed by the close on Thursday as the Bank of Japan held off fresh monetary policy action, while investors await the start of Group of 20 talks in Moscow.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index ended 0.50 percent, or 55.87 points, higher at 11,307.28, while the Topix index of all first-section shares eased 0.22 percent, or 2.14 points, to 954.88. (AFP)
