Qatar Youth Hostels Association hosts Omani volunteers

DOHA: The Qatari Youth Hostels Association (QYHA) is currently hosting the visiting Omani volunteer team "HIMAM" which is visiting Qatar to get familiarized with the Qatari experience in the field of voluntary work.
QYHA Chairman Abdul-Aziz Al-Ammari said in a statement today that Qatar has become a tourism and cultural destination because of the ongoing cultural, scientific, sports, and economic activities. He expressed the association's welcoming to youth, from around the world, who participate in these activities. QYHA seeks to provide a suitable accommodation for Qatar's guests, and organizes recreational, cultural and social programmes for them.
Foe her part, the leader of HIMAM team, said that the choice of Doha visit came because of their long experience in the field of voluntary work, as there are many establishments engaged this work for many years, as Qatar Centre for Voluntary Activities and the Friends of the Environment Centre and many other institutions. The visit programme includes visits to voluntary work institutions and tourism sites, she added. (QNA)
