Head of Diyala University injured, two bodyguards killed

BAGHDAD: Head of Diyala University Dr. Abbas al-Dulaimi was injured and two of his bodyguards were killed when a roadside bomb exploded at his motorcade northwest of Baquba on Wednesday.
A police source in Diyala told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that an explosive device, planted on the side road at the Qudis intersection, northwest city of Baquba, exploded on the convoy of the university president when he was heading to the headquarters of the university, wounding him and killing two of his bodyguards.
