Flash flood destroys 40 houses in Indonesia

JAKARTA: A flash flood destroyed at least 40 houses at Garongan village in South Tapanuli district, North Sumatra, Indonesia's News Agency (Antara) reported.
 
The flood occurred after BatangSelai River overflowed due to high rainfalls, Head of the North Sumatra Provincial Natural Disaster Mitigation Board (BPBD) Ahmad Hidayat said on Tuesday.
 
No fatalities or injuries were reported in the flood. (QNA)
