Six killed in Karachi violence

ISLAMABAD: At least six people were killed today in incidents of violence and firing in Karachi, the capital of the province of Sindh.
 
Unknown gunmen opened fire in Karachi's Surjani Town area killing one on the spot and injuring another.
 
According to police sources, shootings occurred at Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Sohrab Got and other areas in Karachi.
 
Karachi has been witnessing targeted killings for years which claimed the lives of thousands of citizens. Authorities have not succeeded in limiting the phenomenon of targeted killings in the city so far. (QNA)
