People cast their ballots at a polling station in Vilnius, Lithuania, yesterday. Ground down by austerity, voters in Lithuania’s general election looked set yesterday to hand power to the left and eject the Baltic state’s four-year-old Conservative government, which failed to reap the rewards of recovery.
