Education Above All Foundation has launched the third edition of the ‘Eid Gifts’ campaign in partnership with the Qatar Red Crescent (QRCS).
The campaign which began on the fifth of Ramadan will continue until the 20th of the month, aims to collect new clothes and donations for the children in Palestine and Syria.
Qatar has been a steadfast supporter of the Palestinian cause and the Syrian people. It has reiterated time and again that peace in the Middle-East is the strategic option, and can only be accomplished by ending the Israeli occupation of Palestinian and Arab land in a set timeframe. The country has provided $1.2bn worth of support of in the last eight years to improve the Palestinians’ living conditions in the West Bank and Gaza.
On June 17, the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and UNRWA signed a core contribution agreement of $20m to support the Agency’s work in 2025-2026 across the occupied Palestinian territories, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. This contribution will help UNWRA to continue its essential human development work in support of Palestinian refugees, especially in the core areas of primary healthcare and education. The Qatari contribution is also intended for UNRWA’s humanitarian operations in the Gaza Strip, where the agency remains a critical part of the UN response, in the aftermath of Israeli war on Gaza.
On November 11, 2025, QFFD signed $1m grant agreement with the ITF Enhancing Human Security (ITF) to support the Palestine Hospital in Harmalah – Bethlehem, with the aim of strengthening the healthcare system in Palestine.
Qatar has provided enduring support to the Syrian people since the beginning of civil war in 2011. The visit of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Damascus in January 2025 was a pivotal milestone in the path of Syria’s new transformation. The visit marked the first by an Arab and international leader to Syria following the inauguration of H E Ahmed Al Sharaa as the Syrian President, imparting significant political and symbolic meaning.
