Israel’s impunity must end

On the 195th day, the ongoing and unprecedented aggression from Israel persists, resulting in the loss of Palestinian lives. The death toll from Israel’s occupation aggression against the Gaza Strip, which began on Oct. 7, has now reached 33,970, with 76,770 more wounded. Shockingly, the majority of those affected are women and children, with thousands still unaccounted for beneath the rubble of destroyed residential buildings. The Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported seven massacres committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the last 24 hours alone, resulting in the deaths of 71 civilians and injuries to 106 others.

The relentless attacks have crippled Gaza’s healthcare system, leaving over 730,000 people without access to medical services according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza. Israel’s destruction of health facilities and infrastructure has further exacerbated the suffering, particularly for those injured by their aggression. The Ministry of Health has declared an urgent need for field hospitals equipped with 200 beds, operating rooms, intensive care units, laboratories, and diagnostic services to address the escalating humanitarian crisis in the affected areas.

In a harrowing discovery, approximately 30 bodies, including those of women and the elderly, were found in two mass burials within the Al-Shifa complex. The fate of 1,000 individuals who were in Al-Shifa complex remains uncertain.  The ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip represents one of the most devastating conflicts in the Middle East, resulting in a catastrophic loss of life, widespread injuries, and extensive infrastructure damage. The Gaza Strip has been reduced to rubble and serves as a grim reminder of the toll exacted by this brutal war.

Meanwhile, efforts to negotiate a ceasefire have stalled due to Israeli’s obstinance, as it continues to obstruct peace initiatives and inflict harm on those striving for resolution. Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has reiterated Qatar’s commitment to ceasefire negotiations and the release of prisoners and hostages, emphasising Qatar’s steadfast efforts since the beginning of the Israeli aggression.

Qatar vehemently rejects any insinuations questioning its role in mediating an end to the war in the Gaza Strip, affirming its dedication to facilitating peace talks.  This is happening over the course of seven months, and the international community stands helpless in the face of this unprecedented aggression, and the international relief, legal, and humanitarian organisations also stand helpless and unable to confront Israel and stop its daily massacres. Thanks to the new world order that provides absolute protection for the Zionist entity.
