Medical health authorities in the Gaza Strip announced yesterday that the death toll has reached 40,005 Palestinian civilians, with more than 92,401 others injured, mostly children and women, since the beginning of the Israeli occupation’s military campaign against Gaza in October 2023.
Thousands of other victims remain missing, either trapped beneath the rubble of demolished buildings or buried in mass graves.
For 314 consecutive days, the Israeli occupation forces have continued their campaign, launching numerous airstrikes and artillery bombardments that have resulted in widespread civilian casualties amid a catastrophic humanitarian crisis caused by the ongoing siege.
The Israeli regime’s extremism and its colonial agenda, which it has pursued for over seven decades, represent a grave threat to the entire region’s stability and security. Its strategy of deterrence, rooted in destruction, massacres, and genocides, inflicts unimaginable horrors on peaceful civilians.
The ongoing atrocities in Gaza, now exceeded their tenth month, raise troubling questions about the lasting psychological impact on the region’s children.
The memory of the peoples will preserve the image of Israel that portrays a nation and its people resisting ceasefires, obstructing relief efforts, and depriving innocent children and families of essential resources like water, food, healthcare, and sanitation cheering up for obliteration of a city that was home to more than a million people.
This hardship is exacerbated by the intentional destruction of infrastructure, including sewage treatment plants, which further impedes access to these vital services.
Meanwhile, Israel’s closest allies continue to mobilize military assets, equipment, and advanced weaponry in support of Israel, contributing to the ongoing genocide and mass destruction in the Gaza Strip, which remains under a suffocating air, land, and sea blockade.
For more than seven decades, the Palestinian people have endured massacres, genocides, and forced displacement. Having faced such atrocities, they have little left to fear, believing they have no choice but to survive with dignity or perish, as the international community largely ignores their suffering and the genocidal war they face.
International attention is primarily focused on the safety and release of hostages taken by Hamas, with little sympathy or concern for the countless civilians buried under rubble.
No Palestinian, Arab, or Muslim poses a greater threat to Israel than its own extremist ideology, which will ultimately lead to its downfall. Israel’s allies must protect it from the dangers of its approach, strategy, and extremism, rather than demonizing the Palestinians and the people of the region.
If Israel continues down this path, it will eventually be consumed by the flames of its political and ideological extremism, and its allies will be powerless to save it. Because the approach of genocide of an entire people instead of negotiating with them is madness that history has never witnessed.
