The real estate sector is a cornerstone of Qatar’s economic growth, playing an essential role in shaping the nation’s development trajectory and contributing significantly to its ambitious Qatar National Vision 2030. This importance was highlighted at Cityscape Qatar 2024, a highly anticipated event that brought together key stakeholders from both local and international markets. The three-day exhibition, hosted at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Center (DECC) under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, served as a premier platform for real estate professionals, developers, investors, and industry experts.

Cityscape Qatar, the nation’s largest real estate exhibition, showcased a broad spectrum of residential, commercial, and hospitality projects from both local and global developers. Participants from countries including Romania, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom highlighted Qatar’s central position as a hub for international real estate investment. The exhibition provides a platform for attendees to explore cutting-edge architectural designs, discover promising investment opportunities, and gain insights into the future trajectory of the real estate market. One of the key attractions of the event was the panel discussion hosted as part of the Qatar Real Estate Forum (QREF), which centered on “The National Economy: Development & Investment Opportunities.” Experts emphasized the stability and reliability of Qatar’s real estate market, positioning it as a beacon for investors seeking security during uncertain times. Notably, QREF announced an impressive QAR 27 billion in trade value for 2023 and the first half of 2024, underscoring the sector’s critical contribution to the national economy.

Cityscape Qatar, supported by prominent sponsors such as Qetaifan Projects and United Development Company (UDC), featured leading developers like Qatari Diar, Barwa Real Estate, and Alwaab City, among others, who showcased their flagship projects and future plans. The event, in conjunction with Big 5 Construct Qatar and INDEX Design Qatar, further cemented Qatar’s reputation as a regional leader in construction, real estate, and design. These parallel events not only spotlighted over 250 brands but also aligned closely with Qatar National Vision 2030, which seeks to drive sustainable urban development and economic diversification. Key sessions delved into the future of mega project investments, the importance of public-private partnerships, and the adoption of sustainable construction practices, all of which are essential to realizing Qatar’s long-term development goals.

Together, these initiatives underscore the vital role of the real estate sector in Qatar’s ongoing growth, making Cityscape Qatar 2024 a dynamic forum for collaboration, innovation, and strategic investment. With billions in trade value and a wealth of new projects on the horizon, Qatar’s real estate market continues to be a powerful engine for economic progress and a dynamic space for innovation and investment.
