Qatar, its leadership and people are standing with their Syrian brothers as the nation is passing through a transformation after facing very difficult times under previous regime’s oppressive tactics for many decades.

After the fall of Assad regime, Syrians are moving towards a brighter tomorrow with ambitions to rebuild the country badly damaged by wars and conflicts. Qatar is not only supporting Syrian brothers through diplomatic advocacy for their rights at the international arena but also supporting them with necessary aid required to bring life of millions of people, particularly of those refugees who are returning to their homeland, to normalcy during this critical time.

Earlier 2 aircraft had landed in Turkiye and Jordan with 55 tonnes of humantarian aid.

Minister of State for International Cooperation H E Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad has affirmed that the State of Qatar will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Syria, based on the bonds of brotherhood and its moral and humanitarian duty, and its continued support for the brotherly Syrian people.

Qatar is also ensuring through hectic diplomatic efforts to ensure calm in the country while raising continuous voice against Israeli occupation of some lands of Syria.

Recently, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari that Qatar is in constant contact with all regional, international partners to maintain the integrity, sovereignty of Syria and to protect the rights of all Syrians. “Syria to be a home for all, for all Syrians… we are working right now 24/7 in our communications with various parties inside Syria, in the region and beyond.”

He said that Qatar had congratulated Syrian people on great achievement of realising their dreams for freedom and winning their ambitions. “We believe this is an opportunity... not only for our brothers in Syria but also for the region.”
