The winners of Education Excellence Award are Master’s and PhD degree holders, university graduates and outstanding primary, preparatory and secondary school students, in addition to the winners in the outstanding teacher and school categories.
Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani patronised the 17th Education Excellence Day Award ceremony at the Sheraton Doha Hotel yesterday. H H the Amir honoured the 60 winners of the Education Excellence Award various categories which include Master’s and PhD degree holders, university and secondary school graduates, outstanding primary and preparatory school students, the outstanding teacher, the distinguished school, and the distinguished scientific research.
Addressing the ceremony of the 17th Education Excellence Day, Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi pointed out that the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has recently launched the 3rd National Development Strategy that grants the priority to competitiveness, boosting innovation and supporting institutional excellence, in pursuit of developing a diverse and prosperous economy capable of competing in a changing world, in addition to prompting the preparation of manpower for the future.
Good education is primarily one of the core pillars of human development and the primary enabler to achieve the state ambitious goals in all sectors, Al Nuaimi highlighted, while addressing the male and female winners of the 17th Education Excellence Day.
The award has proven its worth over the years in highlighting the achievements and innovations of students, teachers and other distinguished people in the educational scene in schools, integrating individual and institutional efforts, promoting the spirit of competition in the scientific field, and instilling the spirit of innovation among students and researchers.
