Qatar-Pakistan Joint Ministerial Committee holds talks

DOHA: The Qatar- Pakistan Joint Ministerial Commission held its third meeting in Doha yesterday.

The meeting was chaired by H E Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, from the Qatari side, and  Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, from the Pakistani side.

The two sides discussed means to enhance relations between the two countries in various fields, mainly energy, commerce and economy. They also discussed investment opportunities and cooperation in the fields of finance, business, civil aviation, human resources development, education, scientific research and cultural relations. 

The Qatari side included a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Petroleum International, Qatargas, Qatar Electricity and Water Company, Qatar Holding, Qatar Airways, Qatar Tourism Authority and Hassad Food Company.

The Pakistani delegation included Syed Hassan Raza, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar, and a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development, and Pakistan State Oil Company Ltd.
