DOHA: RasGas yesterday held a ceremony to celebrate a record of 100 million work man hours Lost Time Incident (LTI) free in Ras Laffan. This achievement became a reality as a result of the company’s on-going commitment to safety and through its stringent safety strategies, systems and processes, said a press statement.
The celebration was attended by H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum, Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi, RasGas CEO, RasGas Board of Directors, Barzan Executive Committee, President and General Manager of ExxonMobil Qatar Inc, RasGas’ Executive Leadership Team, dignitaries as well as representatives from the various contractors and sub-contractors.
It was also attended by 10,000 of the multi-national contractor site workers who made this amazing achievement possible.
“On behalf of the State of Qatar and Qatar Petroleum, I am delighted to join you today to celebrate a historic achievement and to congratulate all of you for accomplishing 100 million man-hours without a lost time incident,” Dr Al Sada told the site workers at the celebration.
