
Doha: HE Minister of Environment Ahmed bin Amer Al Humaidi said the ministry was working relentlessly under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to protect the country's natural resources, which is one of the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
HE the Minister was speaking during the opening day of a workshop focusing on the final draft of law no. 30 of 2002. Al Humaidi said that the ministry formed a committee dedicated to environmental legislation to revise the laws and block any loopholes that might be present. So far, the committee has amended six laws related to the environment in Qatar.
His Excellency said that the committee will conclude its amendment of the final draft of law no. 30 of 2002, which will provide comprehensive protection to environment and ensure the preservation of a balanced ecosystem.
