Doha: The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) said that it would provide 100 percent in-person presence health consultations, such as family health, general dental services, and all other specialised services, as of Friday.
The step comes after the success of the first and second phases of restoring services to normal in line with the gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions imposed at the national level, PHCC added.
It indicated that it would continue to provide virtual consultations, according to the patient’s preference, while the Rawdat Al Khail Health Centre will continue to operate as a COVID-19 health centre.
The drive-through COVID-19 testing services are available in nine PHCC health centres; Gharafat Al Rayyan, Al Rayyan, Leaibab, Al Wakra, Al Wajba, Al Khor, Al Thumama, Al Waab, and Abu Bakr Al Siddiq centers, from 4pm to 11pm on all days of the week. The drive-through COVID-19 testing services have been stopped in five health centres: the Airport, West Bay, Umm Salal, Qatar University, and Mesaimeer.
PHCC underlined that it had taken strict preventive measures to control the COVID-19 spread and ensure safety, including smart scheduling of appointments, personal protective equipment, social distancing, and regular examinations of the virus for all workers and employees, as well as hygiene and sterilization protocols.
Also, it affirmed its commitment to providing high-quality integrated health services characterized by easy access to ensure the health and safety of society while adhering to all preventive and precautionary measures to support national efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
