Doha: After a video went viral on social media, which showed a reckless driver in an SUV wreaking havoc at The Sheraton Doha, the hotel has issued a statement confirming the incident occurred on the premises of the Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel on Sunday morning, November 29.
In the video it can be clearly see that the man driving recklessly banging in to a parked Rolls Royce car and also destroying some furniture outside the entrance. He was later taken in by the security people. The motive behind the incident is not known
The hotel issued a statement, which said no guests of staff members were injured in the incident and the driver was escorted by the police and the matter is with the local authorities.
The full statement issued by the hotel:
“We can confirm that a driving incident occurred on the premises of the Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel on Sunday morning, November 29. Fortunately no associates or guests were injured. An individual involved in the incident had to be escorted by the police. The matter is now in the hands of the local authorities who we fully assist in their investigations. “
