Arabian MEP wins Infrastructure Project award

Doha: Arabian MEP, a Grade – A Qatari Engineering Services Contractor, has been announced as the winner of ‘Infrastructure Project of the Year Award’ by Construction Week for it’s extensive experience and expertise in carryout Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services (MEP ) related to hundreds of electrical substation projects throughout the State for nearly two decades.
Construction Week Qatar Awards, a premier event which recognises and honours key players in the Qatar construction industry, held its annual award function at Grand Hyatt on September 24, which was attended by over 300 executives and professionals.
Vasanth Kumar, Group Chief Executive Officer of Arabian MEP received the award on behalf of the company along with Hendrik Coetzer, Director of Operations and Mairead Hughes, Business Development Manager.
Kumar said: “Infrastructure projects like substations forms the back-bone of country’s development and we as home grown Qatari company are extremely proud to be associated in the nation building process”
According to the recent statistics by QNB and MEED, infrastructure projects in Qatar is largely made of construction and transport related projects, accounting to 78.6 percent of the total project spending in Qatar for 2014, which by for the largest share than hydrocarbon projects.The Peninsula
