Doha: The Ministry of Municipality, represented by Doha Municipality, recently organised an awareness session under the slogan “Be a partner, not a reason”, to raise awareness of the Public Hygiene Law, in the presence of a number of officials and representatives of companies working in this field.

The session aimed to promote awareness of Hygiene Law No. 18 of 2017, which contributes to improving public behaviour and enhancing a sense of responsibility among all segments of society, especially the workers category.

A number of officials and representatives of private companies and private health institutions participated in the session.  During the session, an awareness film on violations of the hygiene law was also played.

In his opening speech, Mansour Al Buainain, Director of Doha Municipality, said: “This meeting comes as part of a series of introductory and awareness-raising meetings on municipal laws, based on the keenness of the Ministry of Municipality represented by Doha Municipality to open new horizons for community dialogue and joint action, believing in the importance of community partnership with all state institutions and bodies concerned with developing the work environment in the interest of all.”

He called on the companies participating in the session to educate their employees about the public hygiene law and to be partners and helpers in implementing this law in a way that contributes to improving public behaviour and enhancing the sense of responsibility among all groups of society, especially the workers category.

He concluded his speech by calling on all concerned, including companies and individuals, to pay attention to the hygiene law in general, including the cleanliness of building roofs, especially in residential complexes and workers’ housing.

Mansour Al Buainain, Director of Doha Municipality, thanked the attendees including representatives of the municipal market and representatives of companies working in the field of hygiene, for their keenness and interest in attending this meeting and cooperating with the municipality, to preserve public cleanliness and the civilized and aesthetic image of Doha and all regions of the country in general.
