Amman: The 4th Amman International Exhibition for Coins and Stamps kicked off on Thursday with the attendance of a host of coin and stamp enthusiasts from the State of Qatar and the Gulf and Arab countries.
The three-day conference intends to create a state of convergence between stamp and coin collectors at the local, Arab and international levels.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Hussain Rajab al Ismail, member of the Youth Hobbies Center’s executive committee and head of the center’s stamps and coins department, said that a plethora of coin and stamp enthusiasts from the State of Qatar attended the inaugural ceremony of the exhibition and met with the rest of coin and stamp enthusiasts from Arab Gulf and Arab nations, pointing out that holding such events represents a convergence platform for the entire coin and stamp collectors who are keen to share experiences and knowledge through this arena.
He added that the key objective of attending the event is to get familiarized with the displayed stamps and coins that are patently emulating an era of time for the Gulf and Arab countries, in addition to acquiring the rare coins and currencies.
