Doha: Due to the extension of Indian monsoon seasonal low over the region, fresh to strong northwesterly winds is expected to affect most areas of the country during daytime on Saturday and Sunday (July 2 and 3).
The wind speed will range between 15-25 KT gusting 35 knots sometimes over some areas causing blowing dust and a visibility reduction to 3km or less in some areas at times.
In addition, wave heights are expected to rise ranging between 6-9 feet. Accordingly, Qatar Meteorology Department urges all to be cautious and to avoid venturing into sea during periods of strong winds as well as to follow latest updates through our different official social media accounts
