Putin and Macron discuss Iran's nuclear program

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron called in a telephone conversation on the need to preserve the plan of action for the Iranian file.

The Kremlin said in a statement issued today, that Macron informed his Russian counterpart of the results of his visit to the United States, focusing on the negotiations about the situation surrounding the joint comprehensive plan of action of the Iranian nuclear program.

The statement pointed out that the two presidents called for the need to maintain the plan of action for the Iranian file.

U.S. President Donald Trump has vowed to get out of the Iranian nuclear deal, and gave the European parties who signed the agreement (France, Britain and Germany) until next May 12, to tighten the conditions, or he will impose unilateral sanctions on Tehran.
