Doha: The General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has honoured the winning consultancy offices in the design competition of Mozah bint Muhammad Center for Quran and Advocacy project, in Al Waab area.
Addressing the honouring ceremony, Director of General Administration of Endowments, Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Ghanem Al Thani, announced the names of the winners in the competition for the design of the Mozah bint Muhammad Center.
He said the centre is considered one of the leading centres in its field, due to its various programmes, activities and events.
Dr. Sheikh Khalid pointed out that the selection of the winners was based on several criteria, the most important of which are the aesthetic criterion and the idea, the criterion of space utilisation, as well as the cost criterion.
Mozah bint Muhammad Center for Quran and Advocacy project represents a revival of the previous centre, which was located at the same site.
Part of it was cut off as a result of the construction of the new bridges network within Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor project.
The new centre will be a qualitative addition to the advocacy centres in the country and the region.
