KMCC Malappuram wins football match

QIFF President Shamsudheen Olakara receives memento from Capt. Riyadh Ahmmed Salih, representative of the interior ministry.

Doha: KMCC Malappuram defeated (1-0) TYC Trissur to win the ninth edition of Qatar Indian Football Forum (QIFF) tournament for Western Union City Exchange trophy at Doha Stadium. 
Captain D Ravikumar, Defence Attache, Indian embassy; Captain Riyadh Ahmmed Salih from the General Directorate of Traffic; Hamad Al Kuwari, Jamal Darjani, Sara Odeh (Qatar Football Association (QFA), Ibrahim Al Malki, Kahlid Tamim from Coast Guards Department; and Lt. Jamal Abdul Majeed from the Community Police, attended the final match and the closing ceremony.
Sharaf P Hameed, CEO, City Exchange, inaugurated the closing ceremony. 
Leaders of Malayalee community in Qatar, office bearers of organisations, officials and representatives of sponsoring companies were also present.
Rameshan of KMCCMalappuram was adjudged the Best Player and Sudheesh, KMCC striker who scored eight goals, got the top scorer award. Shabeer of TYC Trissur was the best goalkeeper.
The Ministry of Interior honoured QIFF for conducting the tournament in Doha and Captain Saleh handed presented a memento to Shamsudheen Olakara, President, QIFF.
Olakara and the organising committee thanked QFA and authority for providing the stadium and other facilities and for support of the Security Department at the ministry, Hamad Medical Corporation, the embassy, sponsors and media men.
“With this tournament, QIFF has proved its capacity and its future is bright and promising,’’ Olakara said a statement.
