DOHA: VFS Global announced that it has taken up a larger space for its Turkish visa application centre in Doha at the same venue to enhance convenience and accommodate the increased number of visa applications from Qatar.
In a joint statement, the Embassy of Turkey in Qatar and VFS Global said that the spacious visa application centre will be able to now provide more comfort to visa applicants to Turkey.
Opening the centre, the Ambassador of Turkey to the State of Qatar, Fikret Ozer, said: “A larger Turkish visa application centre was the need of the hour with the number of Qatari visitors to Turkey on the increase. We are confident that applicants would find the office convenient and amply spacious offering them a rush-free ambience while applying for their Turkish visas. We are glad that there is a surge in visa applicants from Qatar which is a positive indicator of the increasing acceptance of Turkey as a favoured tourist and business destination for Qatari expatriates.”
The centre is at the same venue as earlier at 301 Jaidah Square, third Floor, Airport Road, Al Matar Street, Doha, in the heart of the main shopping and business district.
Commenting on the relocation, Vinay Malhotra, Regional Group COO for Middle East, South Asia & China, VFS Global, said: “Moving the visa application centre to a bigger office was a direct response to the increase in the number of applicants to Turkey. VFS Global has been present in the State of Qatar since 2005 and currently provides visa application services for 10 client governments in the country. The company presently serves the Government of Turkey in six countries from 27-visa application across the globe.
