Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari held official talks at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.
Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani was present, along with several ministers.
On the Nigerian side, the session was attended by members of the delegation accompanying President Buhari.
Talks dealt with relations between both countries and means of enhancing them and regional and international issues of common concern, especially latest regional developments.
The Emir and the President also witnessed the signing of an agreement between both governments on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to income taxes and another agreement in the field of air transport.
The Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the President and his delegation.
President Buhari earlier arrived at the Emiri Diwan where he was accorded an official reception. QNA
