Doha: M7, Qatar’s epicentre for innovation and entrepreneurship in design, fashion and tech is inviting Qatari-based emerging designers to apply for the second edition of the Zwara Program. Applications deadline is on January 6, 2022.
The said programme will be inspired by the Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition currently being taking place at M7 in Msheireb and will run until March 30, 2022.
This year’s program is aimed to redefine the role of fashion in Qatar’s society, considering culture and heritage as key drivers in realizing this distinctive role.
In a statement, M7 is inviting emerging designers from all fields to explore and produce garments, textiles or accessories, drawing inspiration from the exhibition as well as from local creatives and global design experts whom they will be exposed to during this program.
For the first time in the Middle East, Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition at M7 Creative Hub, features around 150 haute couture dresses, including nine pieces from the private collection of H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser.
M7 is under Qatar Museums which aims to empowers designers to explore, collaborate and develop successful businesses. By providing all the necessary tools and expertise to designers to take ideas from concept to market, M7 respond to the changing demands of Qatar’s growing fashion and design industries.
