Doha: The Ministry of Transport warned citizens and residents against fraudulent email messages using its name. The emails asks people to receive parcels in exchange of small payment, via credit or bank cards, through a fake link.
In a statement on Twitter, the Ministry advised not to engage with fraudulent emails and said that it is not sending any parcels to the public.
The Ministry shared a sample of the fraud message indicating that a parcel is awaiting payment in order to be received.

You have a parcel awaiting payment.
Unfortunately, we cannot confirm your payment yet.
Please confirm the payment (2.00 QAR) Postage fee via the link below.
When the payment is complete, you will be able to receive it the next morning.
The payment link will only be available within 24 hours, to complete the payment, click here”
