Qatari schools win three awards in 'Future Science Challenge' competition in UAE

Doha, Qatar: Three schools from Qatar won awards in the fifth season of the 'Future Science Challenge', organized by the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Centre for Giftedness and Innovation in the United Arab Emirates.

This year's edition focused on tourism and hospitality, with the aim of promoting the concepts of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things among students and 681 teams including 1,713 students participated from different parts of the Arab world. 

40 teams represented the State of Qatar with 9 teams qualifying for the final stage, and 3 bagged prizes across various categories.

In the junior category, Access Maker team from Al-Mashaf Primary School for Girls won the best engineer award, while the Future Falcons team from Ahmed Mansour Primary School for Boys won the Distinguished Designer Award.

The Turath Tech team from Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys won the Distinguished Innovator Award in the Professional category.

According to the Ministry of Education, this achievement reflects the excellence of Qatari students in the fields of innovation and technology and confirms the success of the country's efforts to support and nurture young talents, and enable them to contribute effectively to building a knowledge society and achieving sustainable development.
