Jeddah: The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani arrived in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today, April 28, 2026, to participate in the extraordinary consultative summit of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders and heads of delegations of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which will be held later in the day.
HH the Amir was received at the Royal Terminal of King Abdulaziz International Airport by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Also present at the reception were HE Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary General of GCC, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, HE Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom, His Royal Highness Prince Saad bin Mansour bin Saad bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Ambassador of the Kingdom to the State, and senior Saudi officials.
His Highness the Amir is accompanied by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Head of the Amiri Diwan, HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and a number of Their Excellencies, members of the official delegation.
