DOHA: The Cultural Village Foundation-Katara yesterday hosted a painting exhibition featuring works by female students of Ibn Al Arqam Academy, at Katara Art Studios. The Peninsula
Ahmad Al Sayed, Deputy Director, Operations Affairs, Katara, inaugurated the exhibition that includes a collection of paintings presented by the students of preparatory school aged 12 to 15. The collection depicts abstracts and topics related to nature and others painted using knives and painting paste.
“Katara is keen to nurture talents and encourage emerging generation for attain more creativity. The Cultural Village has left no stone unturned to embrace students’ talents to pave the way for constructive interaction with the public,” said Al Sayed.
Soha Eid, a teacher at the school and in charge of the exhibition, said: “The exhibition is an illustration of students’ creativity outside their school. Organising such events is aligned to our school’s mission and vision to hone students’ talents.” She said similar initiatives will positively contribute to making them more confident to showcase their creativity.
