Doha: KRCC has won the Telangana Welfare Association Cricket League-2 (TWA CL-2) for the second consecutive year. It beat KKR.
The grand final match was held on Friday at Ideal Indian School stadium. As a prize, they received a trophy and prizes were also distributed for man of the match including man of the series, best bowler, best batsman, alongside the runner-ups.
TWA President, Khaja Nizamuddin, congratulated KRCC and said that though there is only one winner, for him all the participating teams were winners. He added that despite the busy schedule, the community was still participating and playing cricket which is essential during this time to maintain good health and fitness. 16 teams participated in the tournament.
TWA has affiliation with the Indian Community Benevolent Forum under the aegis of the Indian Embassy in Qatar. It provides assistance to the deserving persons who are stranded, in distress, needy and underprivileged members of the Telangana expatriate community in Qatar.
