DOHA: United Development Company (UDC), one of Qatar’s major publicly traded shareholding companies, has appointed Badr Al Meer (pictured) as its Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He succeeded Ebrahim M Al Sulaiti, whose duties ended on November 24.
Al Meer has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado. He was serving as the vice-president, engineering and construction, at UDC before his new role. He has worked in his most recent role as senior vice-president at Hamad International Airport as well as senior vice-president at Qatar Airways.
