Doha: Qatar Islamic Da'wa Office in Doha has announced that Qatari people have donated QAR 1.7 million for the implementation of 31 humanitarian projects in the Gambia in the fields of water, mosques, Islamic complexes and medical clinics.
Director-General of Islamic Da'wa Office in Qatar Sheikh Hammad Abdul Qader Al-Sheik said with the announcement of these new projects the number of humanitarian projects in that country reaches 243 implemented by the organization's Gambia-based mission in west Africa
In a press release Sheikh Hammad said the mission started implementing important projects in the poorest and needy areas in the Gambia where many rural areas need such vital projects which provide basic needs such as water, education, health and places of worship.
