Doha: The State of Qatar has strongly condemned an explosion that targeted a mosque in Herat city in western Afghanistan, which killed one person and left a number of injuries. In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.
The statement stressed Qatar’s total rejection to target places of worship and intimidate peaceful peoples.
The statement expressed Qatar’s condolences to the family of the victim, the government and the people of Afghanistan, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
