DOHA: The Qatar Chapter of the Institution of Engineers - India (IEI) organised a full day Workshop on “Flow Network Design and Surge Analysis” held at Hotel Oryx Rotana recently.
Eminent Speaker, Professor Arun Moharir, Ph D, Chemical Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai conducted four technical sessions on flow networks design and surge analysis with various real life examples on utility (steam, potable water, cooling water etc.) network in process plant, potable water supply utility networks, chilled water networks of district cooling systems and cross-country transportation networks for petroleum products and natural gas.
He also presented case studies using PAnORaMA (Piping Analysis, Operations Research and Maintenance Application) developed at IIT Mumbai. As many as 40 Engineers benefitted from the workshop.
Asim Anwar, Third Secretary, Embassy of India graced the function as Chief Guest and felicitated the speaker.
On this occasion, IIT Mumbai announced special discount for online Piping Engineering Certificate Course to the members of IEI Qatar Chapter.
