Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) President and FIM Deputy President Nasser bin Khalifa Al Attiyah speaks during a press conference with all the riders at Losail International Circuit, outside Doha, yesterday.

Doha: The 2015 FIM Motocross World Championship will kick off today at Losail International Circuit and it promises to be a must-see season of motocross.
This year MXGP will receive extensive television coverage as the championship continues to grow and engage more viewers. The entire season will be broadcast live on television in a number of countries across the globe as will also be accessible to everyone worldwide via www.MXGP-TV.com.
Live television coverage for this season will take place in the USA on CBS Sports Network, although it may be slightly delayed due to the time difference, but will be 100 percent live in Asia on FOX Sports Asia. True Vision will broadcast the event in Thailand and Bandsports will air it in Brazil.
In Europe it will be on Eurosport2 and MotorsTV. In Italy it will be covered by Mediaset on Italia1 or Italia2, in Slovenia on Sport TV, in Portugal on Sport TV and in Bulgaria on BNT — which will also screen the European Championship’s EMX125.
As MXGP’s popularity continues to rise, Youthstream is proud to continue the long-term collaboration they have with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), who broadcast news of each and every round of MXGP every Sunday night, and also of the partnerships they have with SNTV, a renowned sports news agency, and Motorsport Mundial, a program dedicated to motor sport, which also broadcasts news after each round.
This year MXGP’s 26mn Magazine — which is a filmed production that covers all the action, both on and off the track, with highlights from racing in MXGP and MX2, a GoPro on-board lap of the track, as well as the inside scoop from the pits at each round of the FIM Motocross World Championship — will continue with MXGP’s lovely new host Lisa Leyland.
You can watch the 26mn Magazine in Europe on Eurosport international every Tuesday night at around 11pm after each round of MXGP. It can also be viewed in Finland on MTV 3, in Germany on Sport 1+, in Portugal on Sport TV, in Slovenia on Sport TV, in South America and Latin America on FOX Sports and in Asia on FOX Sports Asia. As for the MXGP in Qatar, which will commence today, BeIn Sports Qatar will be the main local broadcaster.
