Emir admires a gun as the Russian Defence Minister looks on.
Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met at Al Bahr Palace last evening with Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoygu, and his accompanying delegation, reports QNA.
At the outset of the meeting, the Russian Defence Minister conveyed the greetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his wishes to the Emir and the Qatari people of continued progress and prosperity.
The Emir entrusted the Russian Defence Minister with conveying his greetings and wishes to the Russian President and the Russian people. Talks during the meeting covered enhancing cooperation in the military field. The meeting also discussed the Gulf crisis and its implications for regional security, as well as the developments in Syria.
The meeting also touched on the situation in Libya, and the efforts of Qatar and the international community to find urgent solutions.
