Ashghal and HBKU sign deal

DOHA: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) recently to facilitate training and development programmes.

 

The agreement comes within the framework of Ashghal’s strategic plan to meet its needs for targeted development and training programmers, and HBKU’s commitment to provide support through education to the national government and to public institutions of Qatar by helping build and develop their human resources.
The agreement was signed Eng. Nasser bin Ali Al Mawlawi, President of the Public Works Authority, and Dr Ahmad Hasnah, President of HBKU.
Al Mawlawi said that Ashghal is always keen to enhance collaboration, cooperation, and partnership with the education sector through implementing initiatives and scholarship programmers, providing work opportunities for students of local universities, in addition to implementing educational projects.
“There is a continuous collaboration and cooperation between Ashghal and the education sector in Qatar. This agreement will represent strategic collaboration and joint efforts to put a comprehensive and intensive training and development plans that meet the needs of the Public Works Authority,” he added.
Dr Hasnah, said that the collaboration will pave the way for a broader and more comprehensive collaboration. He also noted that the University will be among the main sources for training and development programmes needed by Ashghal.
Looking to the future, we plan to pursue initiatives together that are founded on the shared goals and purposes expressed in the agreement according to Dr Hasnah and Al Mawlawi.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Saif Ali Al Kaabi, Manager of the Human Resources Department at Ashghal, and from HBKU Eng. Soud Al Tamimi, Vice- President – Operations, Maryam Hamad Al Mannai, Vice-President – Student Affairs, and Rodolphe Abou-Ghaba, Executive Director – HBKU Executive Education Center, along with a number of managers and officials from Ashghal and HBKU.
