Winter Festival 2016 enthrals Katara visitors

Doha: The third edition of Winter Festival, organized by the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara continues to amuse visitors from different age categories including children who like to fill their leisure time with useful activities during the school break.
The activities of the winter festival has drown significant participation of institutions and entities in the state. 
On her comment on the participation of Qatar News Agency on Katara’s winter festivities, Khadija Hussein, an officer at QNA kid website, said: “The main goal of our participation at this event is to afford the public a glimpse on the media services that positively contribute to bring up an educated generation of journalism and media.” Al Hussein noted that kids have been selected to provide the daily coverage of the event in a bid to hone their skills in journalism.”
While Mohammad Al Mohammadi from Bedaya centre said: “Through participating at this event, we aim to support youth at launching their own projects and pave the way for their constructive contribution in the business market. We have chosen six projects to take part at this festival, comprising perfumes, women’s clothes, designs of shirts and accessories.
Al Qannas Association has a distinctive participation at the event through the display of falcons and Daoo in a tent set at Katara esplanade. Visitors from different age categories have attended the awareness work shop on Al Qalayel competition. 
The Childhood Cultural Center that has organized several children activities including competitions and games, with gifts distribution. 
Qatar Heritage and Identity centre featured a unique educational theatrical show highlighting the winter season besides numerous entertaining activities, organized with an aim of a acquainting the public and children with the Qatari cultural and national identity, and Qatar’s flora.
To raise awareness on healthcare during the winter season, a health campaign launched by Bin Muftah medical Center to raise the visitors’ awareness on winter common diseases, foods to eat during the season, and some healthy habits to follow.The Peninsula
