Vice-President Qatari and Asian Football Associations Saud Al Mohannadi congratulated the national team for Saturday’s win over Yemen in their opening match of 23rd Gulf Cup.
Al Mohannadi said that the win was a good start but must be put in perspective as the road to maintaining the title will be long.
He also stressed that the win will be a boost for the players to deliver even better performances in the coming matches. “What is more important than the result is to focus on continuing the good performance in the future,” Al Mohannadi said.
He also expressed his happiness at the high level of performance of youngsters.
