The Ministry of Labour (MoL) organised yesterday, a workshop to promote policies for the Qatarisation of jobs in the private sector, in the presence of officials from the Ministry and a number of private sector companies subject to Qatarisation.
The workshop discussed the ministry’s policies regarding the Qatarisation of jobs in the private sector, according to the new competencies of the ministry set by Amiri Decree No. 57 of 2021. It included a review of the most prominent services provided by the ministry, an investigation of the most prominent challenges facing the private sector, and the proposal of some appropriate mechanisms to solve them in order to facilitate procedures, as well as a review of several programs and plans that will be launched, with the aim of stimulating the private sector for the Qatarisation of jobs.
The Ministry of Labour stressed - during the workshop - the importance of securing the work environment for the Qatari employee, so that his services are not terminated without notifying the Ministry, in order to study the case to ensure his rights and not be subjected to abuse by his employer.
