Doha: The Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (IPA Qatar) and UBS have agreed to support the establishment by UBS of a Business Solutions Hub in Qatar to support the development of Qatar as a financial hub in the region, and the acceleration of financial digitization and talent development locally.
The aim is for this Business Solutions Hub to grow to up to 200 employees in the near future.
This agreement builds on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in November 2020, which aims to further strengthen Qatar's position as a leading financial services hub by accelerating the growth of UBS operations in the State and supporting its expansion in the Middle East.
UBS’s presence in Doha will strengthen the firm’s position in the Middle East. Qatar-based technology services will provide a personalized and relevant experience to clients and their advisors.
