DOHA: The Court of Appeal has upheld the lower court’s verdict to terminate the merger of a number of Salam International companies during 2002 and 2005.
In a disclosure to the Qatar Exchange yesterday the Salam International said:”The Company came to know unofficially On Wednesday, January 23, 2013, that the Court of Appeal has pronounced its verdict in the case referred to it by the Court of Cassation with new members for a revised decision. The Court confirmed the appealed verdict ordering the invalidation of the merger in 2002 and 2005 of a number of Salam International companies.”
Once the Company obtains a formal copy of the judgment and upon perusal of the judgment and the reasoning thereof, the Company shall file a Cassation appeal within the legal period allowed, the statement noted.
