KidzMondo Doha shares the joys of Garangao

Doha: On the occasion of Garangao and in celebration of Ramadan’s spirit of humanity and togetherness, KidzMondo Doha, Qatar’s one-of-a-kind miniature edutainment city, commemorated the special occasion with young patients at Hamad General Hospital bringing joy to the young patients who are in the springtime of their lives, while paying tribute to the annual traditional festival that’s deeply rooted in Qatari heritage.
During the celebration, KidzMondo’s iconic characters, Kozmo and Leeloo, distributed gifts to the children at HMC and engaged with the youngsters that went on in a festive vibe, well suited for Garangao’s tradition and cheerful atmosphere.
Commenting on the occasion, Nabil R Barakat, General Manager of KidzMondo Doha, said: “KidzMondo has been founded on the very basis of enriching children’s lives with joyful activities, while instilling in them the values of good citizenship and developing their knowledge and skills to paint a brighter future for themselves and the community. Celebrating Garangao this year with the young patients at HMC filled our hearts with joy, but has more importantly drawn a smile on their faces, which is not only a part of KidzMondo’s Corporate Social Responsibility program in Qatar, but is also at the core of our edutainment city’s mission to bring kids in the country and their families happiness, hope and inspiration.”
Hamad General Hospital’s Chief of Staff, Dr. Yousuf Al Maslamani thanked KidzMondo Doha for taking the initiative to share the traditional festival’s joyful spirit with HMC’s patients. He said:
“All of us at HMC appreciate KidzMondo’s kind gesture and we were delighted to see our young patients happily interact with the KidzMondo team and mascots. This initiative helped raise the children’s spirits while at the same time reviving a local tradition by encouraging Qatar’s younger generation to celebrate the country’s history and heritage.”
