Doha: The Losail Karting Experience was launched yesterday at Losail International Circuit (LIC) with the participation of around 150 people that didn’t miss the opportunity to race with karts in the outdoor facility at Losail from 8:00pm till 11:30pm.
The karting will be also open to the public for the next two days with the same opening hours, said the organisers.
Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) provided participants with the karts, the safety gear and lap timing to allow them to ride in the track in sessions of 10 minutes.
“I am very happy for the opening the Losail Karting Experience. It is great to see the big amount of participants in the launching and that everybody is having fun always with safety rules and in a friendly atmosphere,” Nasser Khalifa bin Al Attiyah, QMMF President and LIC General Manager said.
“Due to the big success of the opening day, we will extend the karting days until June 24 and also next week we are going to have three more days of Karting, June 30, July 1 and 2. Thanks to all the participants and families that came to the event and hope that more people will come to enjoy at the Losail Karting Experience.”
