Amir joins call with US President, regional and international leaders

Doha, Qatar: The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani participated in a joint telephone call with HE Donald Trump President of the United States of America, HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain, HM King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, HE President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt, HE President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of the Republic of Turkiye, and HE General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

During the call, they discussed current developments in a number of regional and international issues, in light of the escalating security and political challenges facing the region, and exchanged views on ways to contain tensions and prevent their expansion, which threatens the security and stability of the region.

During the call, Their Majesties, Excellencies, and Highnesses expressed their gratitude to the US President for his coordination and consultations with all relevant parties to maintain regional and international peace and security. They also commended the diplomatic efforts undertaken by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in this regard.

His Highness the Amir emphasized the importance of intensifying consultations and coordination among relevant countries regarding various developments, which contributes to strengthening regional and international stability. He stressed that reaching diplomatic solutions is the best way to address crises and spare the region the repercussions of escalation and its impact on regional peace and security.
