Hong Kong---Hong Kong stocks fell 0.57 percent by midday on Tuesday as caution over a Greek debt deal grew with questions over whether Athens could complete an agreement reached last week with eurozone partners.
The city's benchmark Hang Seng Index slipped 142.73 points to 24,694.03 by the break on turnover of HK$29.98 billion (US$3.87 billion).
Markets in mainland China were closed for the Lunar New Year holiday, and were due to reopen on Wednesday.
